The Kingston Student Housing Co-operative currently employs four full time staff members, as well as several part time staff, and also retains two to four summer employees (usually from our members). During the school year, all of the staff works its hardest to make Co-op a great success, whether it be in Kitchen (Jenny, Bonnie, Keri, Geraldine), or doing maintenance work on the houses (Cheryl, Rob), or in the office (Brent,Brenda, Dawn). While Co-op believes in cooperative living principles, and Co-opers do a lot of work for Co-op, we could not survive without our dedicated staff members. In addition, our summer employees are an important part of improving the houses and a good example of how a Co-operative should work. Summer work is heavily concentrated on property maintenance and renovations.

General Manager - Brent Bellamy

The General Manager is responsible for the operation of the co-operative in accordance with the policies and bylaws of the co-op. It is the General Manager's job to work with staff and to support the Board of Directors in providing a successful co-operative.Brent works closely with the Board of Directors, providing direction on budgeting, policy changes, and personnel management. The GM participates in all levels of the Co-op, maybe even in the kitchen washing dishes.

Maintenance Co-ordinator - Cheryl Gould

The Maintenance Co-ordinator makes sure Co-op properties are maintained and and kept in good order. The MC does repairs and renovations or organises outside contractors. She also directs and supervises the work crew in the summer, our busiest time for repair and renovations. Cheryl is available should you have any problems with the maintenance of your house, you can reach her by email or through the office.

Kitchen Co-ordinator - Jenny Armstrong

The Kitchen Coordinator (kc) teaches and supervises meal preparation, oversees the food budget, orders food, plans meal menus and just about everything else that comes up related to the kitchen.

The KC also looks after supply distribution. If you have questions or concerns about food or supplies email Jenny or call the office.

Member Services Co-ordinator - Dawn Pike

The Member Services Co-ordinator provides direct assistance to the members of the organization, from first contact through to check out. The MSC is responsible for receiving and processing applications, room tours for new members, advertising and assisting members with organizing events. The MSC position ensures the members feel welcome and cared for while they are here at Science 44 Co-operative. The MSC is also the first person you see when you come to the office.

Accounting Clerk - Brenda Keirstead
Brenda The Accounting Clerks position ensures member fees are current and vendors invoices are accurate and paid in a timely manner. Staff appreciate Brenda for ensuring they are paid on a regular basis. Brenda is responsible for the accuracy of all accounting records for the annual financial audit.
